Baby Peanut: 31 and 32 Weeks

Eight weeks until D-Day, give or take.
Five weeks until full term.
Three to four more weeks until her furniture gets here.  The furniture that I ordered and paid for in August.  Nothing like waiting until the last minute. No, really, furniture company: take your time.  Not like I have a kid coming or anything.

Look closely and you'll spot the loaner ring from my friend Brittany.  One week without rings and I caught several people staring at my hand.  I'll take my pregnancy without a side of judgment, thanks.

Here's me with Brittney - ey, not ay.  When I found out that I was coming to Charlotte for the weekend, I emailed her like a total stalker and asked if she'd be interested in meeting up. Fortunately, she said yes.  We've been reading each other's blogs for a long time and I am so, so thrilled that we are both expecting little girls.  Each of us had difficult roads to pregnancy and it's great that we can talk about "crossing over" together.  We spent a lot of time talking about work (I finally found out her occupation and it's pretty cool), blogging, and of course, babies.   Can't wait to visit her again!

This is my Dad and I shortly after ring gate.  Ha ha, get the picture?  PS - I am going to burn this shirt.  Not flattering at all.

Baby Peanut now weighs nearly four pounds and I'm starting to wonder where the heck I'm going to fit another three pounds of baby.  My skin is super itchy from stretching and my abs are officially separating, a condition called diastatis recti.   My doctor assures me that it is a correctable condition and that my abs will return to normal eventually.  Eventually being the operative word there.

I'm also still getting sore from her moving and kicking, particularly around the belly button area because my skin is very thin there.  I have a good friend that gave birth to twins and I just cannot imagine how she did it because I am pretty uncomfortable now, and there's only on average-sized child in there.  Two would not  be fun.

I am still exercising, but I think I've reached the end of running for awhile.  It's just too uncomfortable and it gives me Braxton-Hicks contractions.  Surprisingly, Dance Trance does not bother me, although I am being really, really careful not to dip too low or trip.  I'm sure it looks like I'm concentrating very hard, mainly because I am.  My balance has changed and the last thing I want to do is fall.  I'm also doing the elliptical and some walking, which is incredibly boring.  Thank God for Dance Trance, seriously.

Hmm, this is a lot of negative Nancy, so I should end this on a positive note.  I have a couple of showers coming up in the next few weeks and of course, I'm excited about that.  Her bedding came this past week, so as soon as the crib gets here, we'll be on our way to putting together the nursery.  Today is J's birthday, so we are headed to Food & Wine at Epcot after work.  Guess who'll be hitting up every dessert stand? This girl!
