How can I put this nicely?
Roddy's been a real dick lately.
My Mom's shih tzu came for a visit and Roddy picked on him the whole time. He gets into fights with his big brother, Scooter, when he gets nervous. A classic example of this was last weekend when my in-laws came for the Alabama game. The amount of people in the house completely overwhelmed him. He got so snippy that J had to walk him at halftime to try and calm him down (it worked).

Houston, we have a problem.
I've read of other bloggers who have had dog jealousy problems and I fear we are headed in that direction. It is deeply concerning to both J and me. After doing some research, we are implementing some changes:
- washing Roddy and Scooter in baby products (i.e., Johnson & Johnson) so they can become familiar with the scent;
- trying to encourage him to stay off my stomach and lap so he doesn't leap up there when Baby Peanut arrives;
- being stricter with discipline and boundaries;
- teaching him to stay out of the guest room (it will be the baby's room).
When she's born, we plan to meet the dogs at a neutral location to introduce her to them. My in laws have offered to bring some clothing with her scent on it to familiarize them with it, and of course, she'll never, ever, be left with either pup unattended.
If you've had dogs and babies, what did you do to acclimate the dogs? I want to tackle this issue as head on as possible.
