Baby Peanut: 18 Weeks

Hello.  My name is Victoria, and my dress is too tight.  Time to hibernate, Ann Taylor Loft Outlet gray work dress.  I'll see you sometime in 2013.

Break out the margaritas because it's time to make fajitas.  Baby Peanut is the size of a bell pepper this week.  Judging by the amount of round ligament pain I've had this week, BP is growing quite a bit.   And so am I.  That's right, office haters - the scale says I'm up 1-2 pounds this week.   I think we are finally moving in the proper direction.

That's probably because I'm hungry like the wolf.  I have breakfast at 8:00, a snack at 10:30, lunch at 12:00 or 1:00 depending on whether or not I work out, a snack at 3:00, one at 5:00, then dinner.  And if I'm feeling really frisky, milk or a ice cream before bed.   I'm trying to strike a balance between making nutritious choices and indulging a couple of cravings too.  After all, I can't drink: may as well have my ice cream.

Mentally, I'm doing a little bit better since I finally owned up to the fact that I haven't loved every moment of being pregnant.  Your comments were all awesome.  I'll be re-reading them quite a bit, I'm sure.

I've been having really, really vivid dreams for weeks now.  This week, I dreamed that Katy was a producer on GMA doing a segment in Paris on my friend Jill and her newborn baby girl.  I had another dream about the Russian mafia running a Dillard's and one about the Transformer Bumblebee chasing me while I hid under a blanket in an attic.  Last night, my dream involved my friends Veronica and Jess, the Sigma Chi house at Alabama, a flood, and losing my wedding ring.  J woke me up because I was hyperventilating in my sleep.   The weirdest part is that I remember my dreams.

It's only two more weeks until we find out if BP is a he or she.  My money is still on a boy.  Please feel free to throw out boy name suggestions in the comments.  We are totally stuck.

This Week in a Nutshell:

3 work outs, including a 5k on the 4th, Dance Trance and a walk.  Got sick last weekend so I missed out on my group run and extended Dance Trance.

3 onsies bought, including one that says "I'm a little peanut" and two Snoopy onesies.  They all scream boy.  I guess I'm pretty convinced.  I bought them all off Zulilly and they aren't here yet, so no pictures.

4 bowls of ice cream consumed

1 whole watermelon eaten, thankfully not in one sitting

  2. I have maybe 10 days... or 20 (I don't really have a solid due date) left in my pregnancy. It's my third. I don't think you should feel bad about not loving everything about it. There is actually very little that I like about being pregnant. You have watch your spouse and friends have fun and drink good beer for 9 months while all you do is get fatter. I'm almost done being the DD!!!!
